Wedding Celebrant in Scotland Creating Personal, Meaningful Ceremonies

Hi, I’m Laura – lover of tea, biscuits, animals, and peace and quiet.

I’ve been a celebrant since 2012, which means I’ve written enough ceremonies to rival War and Peace…. at least 13 times over! Luckily, your ceremony won’t feel that long!

I’m very proud to be Scottish, as we have the best sense of humour, and I love to laugh. 

My home life is full and lively. In 2025 I married the long suffering love of my life, and my mum and nephew live with us, along with our much-loved and slightly chaotic family of dogs, cats, chickens, and some fish that keep a low profile. I would love to have Highland cows, alpacas or pygmy goats – and possibly all three! Oh, and donkeys – can’t forget about the donkeys!

We moved to Moray in 2021, and we love it up here as the air is fresh and it’s a much slower pace of life (well at times it is!) These days my “office” is Moray, Speyside, Aberdeenshire and the Highlands, and sometimes further beyond. We have the most beautiful wedding venues in the world – from beaches to hills and forests, and from the grandest castles to the most rustic barns. I’m spoiled for choice, and so are you.

I create wedding ceremonies (and other life ceremonies) that reflect your values, beliefs and wishes – whether non-religious, religious, spiritual, or somewhere in between. What matters is that it feels right for you. 

My role as an agnostic, legally authorised, and fully inclusive, Marriage Celebrant with Open Beliefs Scotland is simple. I get to know you, I ask questions, I write a ceremony that actually sounds and feels like you, and I deliver it in a way that feels relaxed, natural and real. No awkward or repeated scripts. No cringey bits (unless you ask me to include them.) Just something that feels right.
